A kid and pet safe grower's choice mix of easy to handle cactus. Some of these cactus may have small but easy to avoid spines, but are still safe to be bumped into or handled without gloves.

Boxes may include selections like:
-totem pole cactus - lophocereus schottii monstrose
-spineless burbank opuntia

-pinecone cactus inermis variety
-wooly & snowy opuntia
-feather cactus - mammillaria plumosa
-easily handled hedgehog cacti like rainbow, albispinus, matudae, etc
-spineless astrophytum
-spineless opuntia rubescens
-mexican fence post

-myrtillocactus
-Starfish cactus stapelia
-many many more!

This box is a seller’s choice mix. If you know how to root your own cactus, you can select cuttings only to save some money, or you can go with a rooted/cuttings mix to give your plants a head start.

Some plants may be bare root or potted. Photos are examples of some species that can be included. All plants will come with labels so you can identify them once they arrive, and generalized instructions on cactus care are also included in every box. Labels are included on every plant so that you can do more specific research on each variety.

PLEASE NOTE: Ouchless does not mean totally spineless, as even listed "spineless" species occasionally have small reverted spine formations when large & mature. It means safe to handle without gloves or tongs. No glochids, barb-like hooked spines that are difficult to remove (like cholla), or anything that could hurt kid fingers or pet noses if bumped into. Hedgehog cacti have spines, but they curve inward, rendering them blunt and harmless, and easy to handle with a gentle bare hand. Mexican fencepost and myrtillocactus have small, pretty blunt thorny spikes that are easily avoided and spaced far apart. If you would prefer this box to be on the *super safe* side (ie if you have adventurous pets or toddlers in the mix) please attach a note or DM me and I will make sure to include the safest, most spineless varieties I have on hand.
