Creosote Bundles ~ Desert Rain Plant ~ Chaparral Bush ~ Raw Bouquet Bundles ~ Larrea Tridentata ~ Yellow Flowering Sonoran Desert Greasewood

Through spring, summer, and fall this plant blooms yellow flowers and puts out seed pods. If you order during this season you are likely to get some extra seed pods along with your bundle!

Mini Bouquets are 4-6" in size and enough for one shower bundle/smudge.

Small bouquets are several 8-10" branches enough to make 1-2 decent sized bundles - filling a paper lunch sack packed together.

Large Bouquets are 3x as many cuttings as the size of a small, and are a bit longer at 10-12".

Bulk goes up by the pound from there - pm for custom orders!

Your bouquet will come tied together at the base ready to hang loosely, but can be untied to make multiple smaller bundles, wrapped tighter for more compact shower or smudging bundles, or used for projects as you otherwise please.

These bouquets should last at least 3-4 months with a strong scent, up to a year before they can be discarded. Wetting your creosote bundle can help bring out these oils that have all those amazing smells:

⭐️ Pinene – A compound found in pines
⭐️ Limonene – Citrus
⭐️ Camphor – Pines and rosemary
⭐️ Methanol – Wood alcohol
⭐️ 2-Undercanone – Spices

Creosote bush is an evergreen shrub that can grow to almost 10 feet in height. It is a widespread and often dominate component of the lower deserts across the southwest. The yellow flowers of creosote bush can appear after a rain throughout the year, and the foliage gives off a powerful aromatic scent after a rain that is similar to the aroma of coal tar creosote, hence the common name creosote bush.

Have you ever smelled fresh desert rain? 🌧️
The creosote or chaparral bush has an amazing scent that will bring back nostalgic memories if you’ve ever been to the desert, or create new ones. A dried bundle of this plant’s branches placed in your home or shower can provide an astringent scent similar to eucalyptus or mint. It can also be burned or smudged as an incense or space cleanser.
Creosote has a bunch of other amazing uses as well! I personally just love hanging bundles of it in my shower 💦
I do encourage you to research the fascinating history and uses of this plant! The oldest creosote plant is over 11,000 years old and is located in the California desert.
